When I was asked by www.my-picture.co.uk to review one of their canvas and run a give away I jumped at the chance.
The days of taking your camera film to the chemist to be developed or popping it in an envelope for posting has long gone. It’s a bit of a shame in some ways. I have thousands upon thousands of photos floating around the cloud but no one but me really sees them. And because we don’t have physical photos we don’t really display them either. A couple of Mothers Days ago Monsieur Incidental bought me a small canvas with a photo of me and Big L. I cried – I was heavily pregnant at the time!
Since then I have been meaning to get another printed but they always seemed expensive. My-picture asked me to review a 60 x 40cm canvas which would normally retail at £49.90 (but there’s a code at the bottom of my post for a fantastic discount) and I jumped at the chance. It was really easy to order, you upload your photo and can move it within the frame and zoom in if you like. Then you can choose different thicknesses, edges and so on. My-picture don’t just produce canvas they also create other photo gifts such as photo blankets and photo cushions. You can prop yourself up with a photo of your favourite cat or snuggle under a loved one!
I ordered mine on Wednesday evening and it was delivered on Monday which I thought was very quick. It arrived very well packaged but not excessively wrapped which I also find a problem lately. Yes, Amazon, I’m looking at you.
I opened it and was absolutely delighted with the finished product. There were no marks or blemishes at all. In fact there were two white dots which, when I checked my original photo, were there! Not a fault at all!
When I review things I tend to look more carefully for faults, there were none. The only thing I wish I had done was not zoom in quite so much but that was my error. All I would say is, when you are centering your picture ensure you allow for the overlap around the edges – it is shown on the picture but it might not be obvious.
I’m so pleased with my canvas that I am planning on ordering one for my mum – it’s OK if she reads this she already knows!
I also have a voucher available THEINCIDENTALPARENT. Using this promotion code you will receive an amazing 5 GBP discount when personalizing your own 60×40 cm format canvas print!
