MAM festive dummies

Christmas Gift Guide 2019 - MAM

A festive from MAM

Let even the youngest family member join in the festivities with a dummy from MAM. We swore by MAM products for both our boys. These festive dummies are available from ASDA – grab them while you can!

Melissa and Doug Food Groups

Christmas Gift Guide

Melissa & Doug Food Groups

Perfect for toddlers! We took Little L to The Tiger who Came to Tea at Knole Park (review here) recently, he loved playing with the pretend food and having a tea party so he will love these.

Available from Amazon:

Paw Patrol Keyboard from HTI

Paw Patrol Keyboard

There are few toddlers who don’t love Paw Patrol, I know it is pretty much on a loop in our house! This keyboard ahas characters that turn round and plays the theme tune. It even comes with batteries (joy!)

Available from Amazon:

Angry Birds 2 plush and chocolates

Angry Birds 2 plush and Cadbury Chocolates

Our two LOVE Angry Birds, combine them with chocolate and you are on to a winner. These are currently £3 (half price) in most supermarkets and make great stocking fillers

Squeezamals – Squishy Animals

Squeezamals – Elephant & Panda

Squishies have been really popular toys the last couple of years. You can get lots of brands of squishy, I think these ones make great stocking fillers, they are so soft, squishy and cuddly. Grab yours from Amazon here:

Cash Register from Learning Resources

Learning Resources Cash Register

For budding shop keepers how about a Cash Register from Learning Resources? We have reviewed a few Learning Resources toys (like the 5 in 1 Measure Mate here) and are actually giving away aBeaker Creatures Whirling Waves Reactor toy (click here to enter). They are always great, fun, educational toys. This one is a proper solar powered calculator too! There are different versions available, one with UK play money and one with Euros. Available from Amazon (check you have the right currency first):

Sylvanian Families – Red Roof Country Cottage and Polar Bear Family

Christmas Gift Guide 2019 - Sylvanian Families

Red Roof Country Cottage and Polar Bear Family from Sylvanian Families

I didn’t have any Sylvanian Families when I was a kid – I used to play with them at my best friends house though and was very jealous. These have gone down really well with Little L who is three – I suspect this may be the first of many sets.

There are toys to suit everyone; from smaller houses (like this one) to grand mansions. You can add furniture and even working lights – I have my eye on the christmas set to make it all festive. Available from all good toy shops and via Amazon:

Aquabeads 3D Carousel

christmas gift guide - Aquabeads

Aquabeads 3D Carousel

For kids who love crafts what better than Aquabeads? These sets are fab! All you have to add is add water, and a bit of patience, et voila! I love this particular set, I am very keen on carousels and they are very festive.

Available from toy shops and Amazon:

Elf on a Shelf Films and DVDs

christmas gift guide - elf on a shelf films

Elf on a Shelf DVDs

Our two are throughly swept up in the Elf on a Shelf fantasy and these films from Universal Films have been watched over and over again in the run up to Christmas. They make great stocking fillers or addition to Christmas Eve boxes.

Both DVDs are available from Amazon:

Pooki – a cute interactive pet from Vivid Toys

Pooki – Interative emotional artifical intelligence

Our two have been badgering us for a pet again this year and, while we would love one, now just isn’t the time. Step forward Pooki. A cute interactive toy with emotional artificial intelligence. It doesn’t need feeding and wont leave “presents” to clear up! Get yours from Amazon here:

Slap Ninja from Jakks

Slap Ninja by Jakks

We have been bombarded with requests for Slap Ninja from our two this year. I blame Nick Jr adverts! Anyway, this looks like good fun and something the whole family can play after dinner.

Playmobil City Life School

Playmobil City Life School

I played with Playmobil as a child, as did Monsieur Incidental and now our kids love it too. The sets these days are really elaborate, like this one, it’s HUGE – there are even toilets and a bike rack! The detail that goes into them is phenomenal and kids have hours of fun playing with them. Available from Amazon here

My Very Own Moon by Brainstorm Toys

My Very Own Moon by Brainstorm Toys

We love a night light and have mini astronomers so I can’t wait to install this in their bedroom. It shows the phases of the moon and even has a remote control. The only problem will be the fighting over which one of them gets to use the remote… Available here from Amazon:

Kurio Tab Connect

Lurio Tab Connect

Both of our children already have a different brand of tablet but this one is much lighter and is splash proof. It is also less restrictive as it uses Google Play store rather then the Amazon store for apps. I’ve linked it to my Google Play account and you can pick and choose the parental controls to your requirements.

You can buy one from Amazon here:

Kurio Smart 2 in 1

Kurio Smart 2 in 1

Big L is 8 now and homework is becoming more a part of our lives. A lot of it involves researching topics and words on the internet so this device it great. It is a large 10 inch tablet with separate keyboard, I think it’s great! I might even use it for work. After all the homework is done you can still use it to play all your games from the Google Play store too.

You can buy yours from Amazon here:

Headphones and Alarm Clock from Smiggle

Headphones and Alarm Clock from Smiggle

For the slightly older child Smiggle has a great selection of gifts around £20. We thought the headphones would be great for when Big L is watching really annoying YouTubers and the alarm clock will wake him up in time for school!

Both are available from Smiggle online and instore.

I hope that has given you some gift ideas for the kids in your life, for the adults check out my Christmas Gifts for Adults – Merry Christmas!
