Having a garden really helped my physical and mental well-being during lockdown. I’m sure even if it was a small balcony I would have been happy but with the kids, having a garden was a true godsend when we were homebound. They could enjoy the sunshine and play with their toys while I was enjoying my time with them, not worrying about what was happening in the outside world.
Spending a little bit of time outside is an essential part of my day-to-day, no matter if it’s 5 minutes or 1 hour, it’s important. Don’t just take my word for it, Business Insider published an article about the benefits of spending time outdoors, which includes reducing stress, fighting depression, improving focus and more.
The only downside of spending time outside is the weather. The fact that we can’t do it as often as we’d like, because as you know, British weather is quite unpredictable. This is why I was happy to find out about Designer Shade Solutions retractable louvred roofs. Their retractable louvred roofs are modern pergolas that feature retractable and tilting roofs that can open and close as you wish, sounds great, right?
As Jenny in Neverland mentions, “These innovative retractable pergolas are definitely the must-have for any sized outdoor space you might have and will allow you to enjoy all the things you love about your garden all year round.”
If it’s raining you can easily close the roof, if it’s too sunny you can simply have it tilted or you can have it fully open. Plus, these modern pergolas can be fully customisable to your liking, so you can have heating, LED lighting and even glass side screens to transform it into an outdoor retreat.
Imagine being able to stargaze on a chilly summer night whilst being cosy in your own closed retreat. Imagine your children being able to be playing outside but without getting wet and muddy when it’s winter. It sounds perfect to me.
What do you think of these modern pergolas?
