Poshmark Selling Tips

This is a collaborative post

Selling on Poshmark is a great way to earn extra income. In fact, many sellers have turned their efforts on this platform into a full-time job. However, it can sometimes be challenging to generate new sales. In these instances, it helps to know the tricks that can put you ahead of the game. Whether you’re new to Poshmark or an experienced seller, here are a few tips that will help you along the way.

  1. Discount Items On Payday

Most Poshmark sellers understand how effective a discount can be. Not only do customers pay less for the item, but Poshmark will often reduce the price of shipping on discounted items. And this can lead to a buying frenzy. However, what many Poshmark sellers don’t realize is that the time of the discount is just as important as the size of the discount. If you want to create the largest pool of buyers then you need to drop your prices on paydays. This way, shoppers will be more receptive to the deal. Most people are paid at the end of every week or every other Friday.

  1. Offer Quick Responses

There are a lot of sellers who miss out on a sale simply because they fail to respond to a question in a timely manner. In many instances, buyers may be ready to make a purchase but have one concern about the item. They’ll contact the seller to resolve the issue. However, if the seller takes days to respond then the buyer will talk themselves out of making the purchase or move on to another closet.

If you don’t want to miss out on a sale it’s crucial that you respond to your messages within a day’s time. This lets the buyer know that you’re interested in their business. It also signals to them that you offer great customer service. And this means they’ll be more likely to buy. If you’re not going to be active on Poshmark for a few days, it’s a good idea to post a message that lets potential buyers know that you’re away and when you’ll be back.

  1. Be Personable

If you want to generate more sales then you should consider putting more effort into your profile. And that’s because customers respond to sellers who are personable. By adding a profile picture, it helps the shopper to put a face with the username.

Not only should you add a photo to your profile, but you should also work on a Meet Your Posher listing. Make sure that you use every photo slot that you’re given. You should also offer a few interesting facts about yourself. Do you help out with certain charities? Do you love nature? Do you have children? Do you have any discounts coming soon? The more you share, the better. The Meet Your Posher listing is different from sales listings because they won’t disappear. So people will always be able to follow your closet.

  1. Develop a Process for Packaging and Shipping

Even after you’ve made a sale, there’s still more work to do. This is especially the case when it comes to packaging and shipping. It’s important that you develop a consistent routine–one that is efficient and saves time. And that’s because your rating will often rely on how quickly the package was shipped and if the items arrive in good condition. This will affect future sales. So you need to plan every part of the process to the last detail.

Start by figuring out what your items will be packaged in. You may use your own boxes. You could also use a USPS box. Luckily, Poshmark has teamed up with USPS and ensures that you have access to free boxes and that you can offer Priority shipping. However, it’s ideal that you sign up for an account with USPS so that you can have boxes shipped to you when you’re not able to pick them up in person.

You should also make sure that you have the proper supplies. Decide what type of wrapping paper, ribbons, bags, and even thank-you notes that you’ll include in the package. It’s best to schedule a certain amount of time to pack your items every day.

When it comes to delivering the packages to USPS, it may be best to have them picked up from your home. This is especially the case if you’re very busy or your schedule is unpredictable. The packaging and shipping process may seem like a small detail, but inevitably, it can be what determine whether or not you get repeat buyers.

  1. Share All of the Time

No matter how great your items are or how big of a discount you offer, if you don’t share your listings then few people will ever know about them. That’s why it’s important that you share with as many people as possible. Poshmark holds four themed parties per day. Ideally, you should share your items at each of these parties. You should also share the items of other sellers as this will lead to more exposure for you. In some cases, the other sellers may share your items with their following as well. Sharing takes up a lot of time because it’s done manually, but when you consider how much business it brings in it’s more than worth the effort.

Selling on Poshmark takes a lot of time and effort, but once you develop a consistent routine it becomes easier. Part of creating an efficient routine is automating as much of the process as possible. This means that instead of sharing manually, you should use a Poshmark bot. A Poshmark bot does all of the sharing for you and allows you to track all of the progress that you’re making in real-time. It can even follow and unfollow users for you. What would take you hours to do, the Poshmark bot can do in no time. It’s like a personal assistant.
