I am a curvy girl and I love Simply Be!
I was challenged to create an outfit from Simply Be for £100. It can’t be done, can it? Yes it can!
As the weather is getting cooler and the nights are drawing in I decided to go for a practical outfit that I could wear on autumn days out. I received the clothes a week ago and have already worn and washed the outfit twice (not the boots though, you can’t wash them!).
What outfit did you choose from Simply Be? I hear you cry
Well, I am a lover of a tunic / dress so I chose this teal, flower print, knee-length tunic. I think it looks great with leggings and knee or ankle boots but you could easily pair it with tights and shoes if you were so inclined. At £15 I think it’s a bargain!
When the weather is a bit chilly, but not quite cold enough for a coat, I love a cardi! In particular I love a grey chunky-knit cardigan for snuggling up in so I chose this long-line one. It’s super cosy and you can wrap up in it or leave it open for a bit of a breeze! It was £39 but you might be lucky and find it on sale.
Finally I chose some knee high boots
Simply Be do a whole range of boots, shoes and sandals in different widths and calf sizes
This is fab news for us unconventionally shaped women! For a larger lady I have quite slim calves but my feet are wide so it’s good to be able to choose between the two. I find most stores automatically assume that wide feet equals wider calves – not so!
The reason I chose these boots was the lace detailing up the back. They are really easy to put on as they have a zip on the inside and elastic for a little extra “give” if you need it. They are standard width and fit nicely over jeggings. These are £55 and have 5 star reviews online.
I think the outfit is perfect for family days out and wore it once to the seaside – Hastings and on a Halloween Trail. It was super comfy and cosy!
I have written about being a “larger lady” here: I might be fat but I’m still f**king awesome
*I received the clothes free for purpose of my review but all words are my own
