Brio is a firm favourite here
Little L is fast approaching his 3rd birthday and his Brio train set is something that comes out time and time again. Even is big brother joins in!
You may recall we’ve previously reviewed a few Brio toys
Most recently the Brio Classic Figure 8 Set, and previously the Classic Train Set and Brio Light and Sound Fire Truck. We loved them all and any additional trains or track are gratefully received, so when we were asked to review the Brio Farm Train of course we said “YES”! And we’re really please to be able to offer one to a lucky reader – see the bottom of this post for details.
What’s in the Brio Farm Train Box?
When you open the box you will find:
- 1 Engine
- 2 Carriages
- 1 cow
- 1 horse
What age is Brio Farm Train aimed at?
It’s aimed at children over the age of 2 years, but as always children will be playing with the train set for years to come. We had all the track out over half term, even Granny had great fun with it and she’s not been a child for a very, very long time! That said, you don’t have to use it with a track – it’s fun to use on it’s own.
What did we think of the Brio Farm Train?
As most toddlers, Little L loves animals, so he was very excited about the addition of the cow and horse. The fact that the doors open is an added bonus. Getting little fingers to become more dexterous.
The animals and train encourage imaginative play which can only be a good thing.
The majority of the toys are made from wood which is lovely. It fits nicely with the rest of the track and the boys love playing with it all as you can see…
Where can you buy ?
The set retails at around £16 and is available from this affiliate link and other good toy shops – I think it’s great value for money!
