It is becoming more and more popular to go pumpkin picking so here are the best pick your own pumpkin patches in Kent
PYO pumpkins at Pumpkin Moon, Maidstone and Rainham, Kent
Pumpkin Moon has two locations and over 80 varieties of pumpkin, squash and gourd! They are opening their doors, well, fields on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October and then daily from 18th to 31st October.
Pumpkin Moon offers more than just pumpkin picking, you can also get lost in their maize maze and have your face painted. What with that and the food and beverage stalls there is enough to while away a few hours.
Parking is ample and free!
Pick Your Own Pumpkin, Ashford, Kent
Top tip – bring your wellies and gloves! Pumpkins are plentiful and available for picking on 12th and 13th October, 10am to 4pm then 19th to 27th, 10am to 4pm and 28th to 30th, 10am to 1pm.
Parking is free but can be muddy so check their Facebook page before you set off
PYO Pumpkins, Hoo, Rochester, Kent
I love the name Hoo – it seems very apt for Halloween, Boo! Get it? Nevermind…
PYO Pumpkins is Riverside Farmers, a family farming business at Beluncle Farm. They are open for pumpkin picking from Monday 14th to 17th October 10am to 1pm then 18th to Thursday 31st October 10am to 4pm – pumpkins permitting.
There is ample parking and there will be refreshments available.
Chilton Manor Farm, Sittingbourne, Kent
Open every day from 19th October. Opening times are 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday . 10am to 4pm on Sundays
Four Winds Farm, Bidborough, Kent
Pumpkin picking will be 23rd to 27th October – more details to be advised check their Facebook for details in the meantime
Saffery Farm, Faversham, Kent
Hewitts Farm, Orpington, Kent
Hewitts have a variety of home grown pumpkins for sale in their shop and available to pick your own from the beginning of October. Further details to follow…
