It’s Christmas!! I went to look around the Christmas Shop in John Lewis Oxford Street

A friend and I were going up for an event in the evening so we thought we would make an afternoon of it and went up early to have a look around.

She had seen the John Lewis Christmas Shop on This Morning that week and, being a huge Christmas lover (like me) wanted to check it out. We weren’t disappointed.

The Christmas Shop is located on the third floor of the John Lewis Oxford Street store, London.

We headed up the escalators getting more and more excited as we approached.

The John Lewis Christmas Shop is sectioned into different themes. Within the themes there are different decorations

Felt Christmas trees and animal decorations

One of the most striking displays has to be the rainbow tree and decorations! There is a wall of rainbow tinsel and rainbow baubles

There are different lighting displays like this one (I think it looks like Mr Tumnus’ lamp post)

The glass baubles are exquisite – but not suitable for my house, unfortunately. Maybe when the boys have grown up

Each theme also has a tree covered in decorations like this white and blue Christmas tree

There were lights hanging from the ceiling

A London themed tree is sure to be a hit with tourists featuring a police bear and Union Jack trainers

There is even a place where you can choose the flavour of the Quality Street chocolates you would like in your tin

and… have it personalised! It’s £15 so not cheap but if, like me, you are quite keen on the coconut eclair and big purple on at lease you won’t have to find someone else to eat the toffee pennies.

There is plenty of Champagne on offer – Veuve Cliqout is my favourite (hint, hint) and you can have these personalised too.

We had a lovely afternoon mooching about the Christmas Shop in John Lewis. It really put us in the festive spirit – is you are in the area I would urge you to pop in too!
