Fingerlings are back and this time they have their BFF’S If you follow my blog you’ll know I have a fondness for the Wowwee toys. I’ve reviewed both the Fingerings Hugs and Dino Raptor recently and I’m always impressed by them. A lot of thought goes into the Wowwee toys and the attention to detail is lovely. The Fingerling BFF’S are very similar to the original Fingerlings but they arrive with their very own BFF that hangs on their tail or can be put on the end of your pencil. Father Christmas gave Big L one of the original Fingerlings last year It has beenRead More →

Smashers Series 2 Gross

Zuru Smashers Series 2 are collectibles aimed at kids of 5 and over There is no doubt about collectibles for kids are huge and Halloween is getting bigger every year This year we decided to throw a small party for Big L and a couple of his friends with the help of Zuru toys. Regular readers will know that we reviewed a Zuru Toys Robo Alive Spider recently and were very impressed you can check it out here. If you aren’t a regular reader you really should be. I’m incredibly entertaining – especially on Facebook (here). I should come with a profanity warning though ZuruRead More →

Fingerlings just got a ferocious upgrade in the form of Untamed Raptors Last Christmas it was all about the Fingerlings. Those lovable monkeys that were on every child’s Christmas list. They came into stock and went out again in the blink of an eye. People were scouring Tesco in the dead of night (I kid you not). And, yes, I got one for Big L, from Amazon. The original Fingerlings were (and are) very cute but probably only appeal to children who like “cute” toys.  The recent addition of the Fingerlings Hugs (which we have also reviewed here) were an instant hit in our house. ThenRead More →

It is almost a year to the day since we moved to our new house Little L has had his own room since then and we hadn’t got round to really making it his own. I was over the moon when Stickerscape asked if we could work together. Of course I jumped at the chance and chose a beautiful set of Dinosaur wall stickers. Little L has a bit of a thing for dinosaurs Being the younger brother he is quite lucky in that he can play with his big brother’s vast toy collection which includes model dinosaurs ROAR! He is a bit dino crazy, soRead More →

As Big L is now coming to the end of year 2 I am fairly well-versed in lost property! We have got through several ties, jumpers, water bottles. You name it at some point we have had to replace it! I was really happy when Stikets asked me to review their name labels. When he first started at pre-school I had grand ideas about the fabric name labels like the ones I had when I was a kid. I bought some and (my mum) sewed them in to his coat etc. Only for them to fray very shortly afterwards. I got fed up and resortedRead More →

We have never really been a family for displaying photographs. Which is a shame because our children are, quite frankly, beautiful. Biased? No, not at all! We have started to rectify that lately with the help of CanvasChamp. CanvasChamp’s website is really easy to navigate (which is just as well as I am easily confused). You select the product you want from a drop-down box and click “start order”. Then you have the choice of uploading a photo from your computer, gallery, Facebook or Instagram – it’s so easy! Once ordered the canvas arrived very quickly – within a couple of days, although they doRead More →

When I was asked by www.my-picture.co.uk to review one of their canvas and run a give away I jumped at the chance. The days of taking your camera film to the chemist to be developed or popping it in an envelope for posting has long gone. It’s a bit of a shame in some ways. I have thousands upon thousands of photos floating around the cloud but no one but me really sees them. And because we don’t have physical photos we don’t really display them either. A couple of Mothers Days ago Monsieur Incidental bought me a small canvas with a photo of meRead More →

#win #puzzles #games #ravensburger #whatifweareapuzzle

Jigsaws and games are fab for this time of year. The dark evenings and dreary days can mean a lot more mooching about at home and a lot more cries of “I’m boooored!” – and that’s just from me (hahaha). Ravensburger are one of the best known toy companies when it comes to jigsaws and their What IF? range are a fabulous mixture of a jigsaw puzzle AND a game in that the picture you have to make isn’t actually on the box – you are given clues to solve what you should be making! Much hilarity ensues as the whole family have to setRead More →
