Having two children I have bought my fair share of presents. Gifts for them and gifts for friends.
Over the last ten years I think I have learned a thing or two about gift buying, at least I hope I have. I know that they have been really lucky to receive some super cool presents, along with some stinkers to be fair. I dare say I’ve made some errors myself but we’re only human.
One thing I can’t stand is the thought that a present will go to waste so I try to get something the recipient will like. Although, should it end up at a charity shop that’s OK too. At least another little person will benefit from it.

You can search by gender (or not), age and narrow it down into a category such as Adventurer, Football, Fun, there is even a Chocolate category (if you re in any doubt I like chocolate…). From there you can search by most popular or price high to low or low to high depending on your budget.
On the home page you will also find the most popular presents, which might also give you some inspiration. It’s always good to see what other people have bought and what is popular.

Horrible Histories Board Game
The whole family love the Horrible Histories series on television. It’s historically informative (is that even a phrase?) but it’s also very funny and a bit gross. The songs make remembering historical facts easier too. The board game is based on the series, obvs. You have to answer questions but you are given three options which makes it a bit easier (for the likes of me, and little ones) and I think that helps you remember the answers too. Great fun as well as being educational.

Wicked Pranks & Jokes
I’m not sure we should encourage this behavior, because I’m usual at the receiving end, but my two (or three if you include the grown up one) like to play tricks and pull pranks.
This set includes 100 tricks for your favourite pranksters such as a Selfie Phone Squirter and Jumping spider Eggs. If you buy this for someone’s kids I would suggest running away quickly afterwards!

Jelly Brains – Sweets
A firm favourite with my boys are these grossly delicious Jelly Brains chewy sweets. Inside the jelly brain is a gooey strawberry filling. At £2.95 they are a great gift on a budget.
