Once again Mother’s Day will be spent under a national lockdown…
Some of us will be lucky enough to spend it with mothers, we are in a support bubble with mine as she lives alone, but some of us won’t have seen our mums for over a year. Here are a few ideas to make Mother’s Day special.
Let’s kick off with this super sweet (see what I did there) Mother’s Day Gift Hamper from Red Letter Days
Including handmade luxury chocolate, nougat, posh popcorn, wafer biscuits, earl grey tea and a mug. Everything you could want for a cheeky Mother’s Day afternoon snack.
£26.99 available from www.redletterdays.co.uk

For a change from Gin this year why not try Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
Four Roses’ Small Batch bourbon is the perfect gift to make mum feel special. The beautiful bottle features cut glass roses in the centre of the label and the bottle even resembles the shape of a rosebud when held upside down!
For Mother’s Day, Four Roses recommends mixing a celebratory cocktail for her – a delicious drink using simple ingredients that can be quickly created together, or over a Zoom call

Perfect for nature lovers is this Complete Feeding Station from Henry Bell
I have one of these myself and I love it. It comes with all the feeders you could need to attract a variety of birds to your garden, along with a water tray to keep them hydrated. We spend a lot of time watching the birds, and even sometimes little harvest mice, enjoying the nuts and seeds.
Available from www.food4wildbirds.co.uk RRP £29.99
Keeping on the bird theme a gorgeous hummingbird ornament from artist Jim Shore
I really love this hummingbird feeding on blossom ornament by Jim Shore, his folksy designs are right up my street and this is proudly displayed on my window.
The hummingbird is £29.95 and available here. Check out his other creations too, he has a huge range including DC & Disney
Luxurious silk cleansing cloths and eye mask from This is Silk
I had a silk pillowcase from This is Silk at Christmas and I love it. I now like to pretend I am in a 50s movie with my silk eye mask £27.99, Audrey Hepburn eat your heart out! The great thing about silk is it doesn’t absorb eye creams like cotton does. The silk cleansing cloths (£21.99 for three) are the texture of muslin cloths, but with all the added benefits of silk amino acids. The unique weave of the Silk gently exfoliates, conditions and smooths skin, leaving it radiant.

Hand care from Nursem
I am sure I’m not alone in saying that all the extra hand washing over the past year has taken its toll on my skin. I think (hope) it is something we will continue to do in the future though, it is far more hygienic! In order to combat the sore skin Nursem was created by a paediatric nurse who herself suffered from contact dermatitis from the extra hand washing required by her role.
A whole range of hand care including wash, cream and overnight skin fix to care for our hands while we sleep is available in the range which can be found here: www.nursem.co.uk
