As you can see The Original Cake Co. sent me two cakes. You won’t see me complaining that I have too much cake so they were very welcome. The younger members of the family prefer the Luxury Chocolate Truffle Cake where I am a bit fan of the Luxury Fruit Cake. I can confirm both are delicious and I’d be very chuffed to receive either (or both) through the post as a gift. They are so beautifully decorated it’s almost a shame to eat them!

Outdoor lights from lights4fun
Anyone who follows my social media will likely know I have a bit of a love for outside lights and my collection just grew!
Most of the lights pictured are solar powered, with the exception of the candles, and I took this photo of them after a very overcast, drizzly day so you can see they don’t need much light to charge them. The candles are really effective too, I have some others that make a clicking sound which really annoys me, these do not do that! Better still they are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. All of the lights I received are great quality, better than some I have purchased from chain DIY stores – say no more!

Weleda Skin Food has a lot of celebrity fans and for good reason! It deeply moisturises and nourishes dry skin and skin damaged by wintry weather (hello chapped hands!) and is gentle enough to be used on your face.

I love the fact that Dr Jackson’s Day Cream comes in a little glass apothecary jar that can be recycled after use. The cream itself is suitable for all skin types, it is designed for the face but can also be used on the body and, something that is really important to me, has an SPF 20.

I love a bit of make up but you do need some half decent tools to apply it. I have used Real Techniques brushes for a while now and I find them great quality. They wash well and, better still, they aren’t overly expensive. This set was on offer on Amazon for about £9 so I snapped it up!

Magnitone Wipe Out Swipes
If you are putting make up on, you need to take it off again. No, hoping it rubs off on your pillow overnight doesn’t count!
These make up Swipes work with just warm water and are reusable (you can pop them in with your usual washing, maybe get a little bag like I have) which makes them better for the environment than disposables, as well as kind to your pocket.

Fudge hair products have a really good reputation so I am looking forward to trying these from their Luminizer range. They contain Opti-PLEX technology which apparently strengthens the hair from within. If you have seen my hair (bleached to oblivion) you know it needs all the help it can get! Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula is something I reach for every summer. It smells gorgeous and always reminds me of holidays to Cyprus, swimming pools and drinking massive fish bowl cocktails – those were the days!
I have to be honest I didn’t realise Palmer’s also had a haircare range so this was new to me! The length retention range with biotin help block brittleness, breakage and split ends to support optimal length. As I’m attempting to grow mine this will come in very handy!

I haven’t had one for a while but I used to really love getting a Glossybox each month. They are a great gift for anyone who likes to try out different beauty products, they are great value for what you get too. You usually get a few items each month, sometimes they are sample sized but also full size. I could never wait to find out what was in mine and Googled it before it arrived. I enjoyed the different edition boxes as there were more than one so you didn’t know which you would get until it arrived!

Extendable dog lead from Jollyes
One for the dog mums out there!
Jollyes has a wide range of pet products that you and your four legged friends can enjoy together. I chose this lead for when we go to the seaside to give Vader a bit of extra scope as he cannot be let off lead (terrible recall these sighthounds).
A word of warning though, extending leads should be used with caution for several reasons. NEVER near a road where they can lunge out and, with greyhounds in particular, if they bolt all of a sudden they can hurt their delicate necks when the lead reaches its limit. We plan on only using it where it is safe to do so.
