I know, the question on everyone’s lips is “What did I wear over Christmas and New Year?”
Well, apart from an assortment of pyjamas because, frankly, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a PJ day…or twelve. We even have matching ones for Christmas Eve – yes we are one of THOSE families.
Moving on.
I rarely get the chance to dress up these days so when I do I like to go all out
I was recently gifted some clothes by Fashion World. I was given a budget and free rein (almost) over the site and here is what I chose.
First of all I chose a pair of Clark’s Boots because Clark’s are bloody comfortable as well as being stylish. I wanted a pair of smarter ankle boots to wear with dresses. I like the slim (but not too slim) heel. They are high enough to feel glamorous but not so high I feel like I’ll topple over.
The first dress I ordered was a bit of fun
I’ve wanted a fun Christmas dress instead of a jumper for a while. I prefer dresses/tunics to jumper as they hide my wobbly bits. I chose this one as it has candy canes on it, similar to my boys jumpers. I know, I’m a bit soft!
I wore this dress out for a pre-Christmas dinner with family, and on Christmas Eve. I will put it away until next year now.
The second dress is more of a going out-out dress
I love a sparkly number and have two silver ones but this is bronze/gold which makes a nice change. Even better it doesn’t shed and leave glitter everywhere. It is a nice length and can be worn with tights or leggings.
I wore this one on Christmas Day, I cooked Christmas dinner in it and everything!
I also wore it on New Years Eve. My fabulous friend Anna from Me, Annie Bee dragged her family from Leeds to Kent to spend New Years Eve with us. As luck would have it she has done the same campaign and, we chose the same dress! Only she went for silver.
We both wore our dresses on New Years Eve, we don’t have any full length photos of us but we do have this!
So, that’s what I wore over the festive period, that and pyjamas. What were YOU wearing?
