Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer from Spin Master is a fab radio controlled car that defies gravity
The Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer comes in either blue or red. We received the red car to review.
What’s in the Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer box?
The box contains the car, the laser gun and a USB cable to charge the car along with the instructions (does anyone ever read them?).
The car comes with a small amount of charge but it’s worth juicing it up before first use as it is quite addictive. The laser gun requires 3 AAA batteries which are not supplied.
How play Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer
There are two modes, floor and anti gravity wall or ceiling. It makes a fair bit of sound when turned on anti gravity mode, mainly due to the hoover-like suction required to keep it there.
It will only work on smooth surfaces, so no carpets. But it whizzes up walls, ceilings and across floors like a demon! You put it on the surface you want then use the laser gun to move it by pointing the red laser to where you want it to go.
What age is Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer aimed at?
Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer is aimed at children of 8 and above. Our three year old loved watching us play with it but he couldn’t control it at all by himself.
What did we think Air Hogs Zero Gravity Laser Racer?
I have to be honest we first got it out of the packet when Monsieur Incidental’s family were over from France and we all had a whale of a time with it, 6 grown adults were fighting over it and the kids didn’t get much of a look in! The car is lightweight and seems to handle a knock or two.
It doesn’t have reverse though, so it can get stuck in hard to reach corners which can be annoying.
