We were sent the Nordgreen Pioneer Watch for this review. All images and opinions are my own
There is no doubt about it, watches have been a status symbol since, well, time began. The Pioneer men’s watch from Nordgreen ticks all the boxes without being out of everyone’s price range
For a while watches became a thing of the past for me, I mean, when you have a mobile phone that tells you the time you don’t really need one. But mobile phones don’t look as cool as a watch on your wrist and if someone asks you for the time you look much smarter flipping your wrist to reveal this beautiful timepiece that cost an arm and a leg.
Nordgreen approached me to review a watch and I was keen to get one for Monsieur Incidental. I have a posh watch that my mum bought me a few years ago so I thought it would be a nice treat for Monsieur Incidental. It also happened to be his birthday – win win!
The Pioneer Men’s Watch from Nordgreen
When ordering the watch you are able to choose various different styling options. The dial comes in a choice of black, white or navy, the case is gun metal, silver or rose gold and the straps have the choice of different materials – leather, vegan leather or mesh and they are available in lots of different colours.
We chose a Pioneer men’s watch with a navy dial, gunmetal case and black leather strap RRP £214.00
The dial also has a minute and second dial so it looks super fancy. The dial is quite large but well suited to a man’s wrist. Monsieur Incidental is very pleased with it as it can easily be dressed up and worn with a suit for work or down with a t shirt and jeans, it’s very versatile.
Norgreen – Giving Back Program
Something I was pleasantly surprised by was Nordgreens Giving Back Program:
“We believe the right to good health, a clean environment, and a full education are rights for all. The harsh reality, however, is that much of the world does not experience them. Motivated by our Danish values, when we founded Nordgreen, we knew we had to do our part to help to change this in whatever way we could. There was no excuse not to give back.” Pas & Vas – Founders
When you receive your watch you can go on their website, pop the serial number and certificate number in to the relevant page and choose where the money they pledge will go to. I chose to supply clean water and apparently it is enough for one person for two months.
My grandmother used to say “You only need one nice piece of jewellery to complete an outfit” and she was right.Follow me on social media for more!
