I was recently sent the Paj GPS Power Finder 4G which is a GPS tracker that can be used for vehicles such as cars, caravans, boats and so on
Sadly I don’t own a caravan or boat so my trusty Galaxy gets to be tracked! As someone who is often misplacing their car in Bluewater car park – don’t judge me, they all look the same – this little device might just save some embarrassment. Of course they also come in handy should you be unfortunate enough to your vehicle stolen and for large fleets so the boss knows where the cars are at any given time. Big brother is watching you! They are also handy for luggage, yup you can pop it in your suitcase to track your possessions!
Anyway, onto the tech stuff…
What does the Paj GPS Power Finder 4G look like?
The contents
The Paj GPS Power Finder 4G measures 6.7 x 3.7 x 11.8cm and weighs 302g making it easy to hide away in the vehicle. The device is well-built to withstand even my shoddy driving and is splash proof.
The pack contains all you need to get started:
- PAJ GPS Power Finder 4G
- M2M SIM card which is already inserted in the device and is irreplaceable
- PAJ GPS Portal FINDER (subscription required)
- Charger with cable and USB wall plug
- Adhesive magnet to attach the device
How does the Power GPS Power Finder Work?
The Paj GPS Power Finder uses 4G connectivity which offers a swift and reliable connection, delivering real-time data and updates through the dedicated mobile app Finder Portal, but you can also use a laptop or PC. The integration of 4G technology provides quick response times and seamless communication between the device and your smartphone. It boasts a GPS accuracy of 5 meters so you will easily find your car or whatever else you are tracking.
The Paj GPS Power Finder 4G is designed for efficiency, by switching to standby mode while the vehicle is stationery it delivers an impressive battery life of around 40 days before needing to be recharged, unlike myself! You can check the battery status in the app at any time so you know if it needs charging. If, like me, you are a bit useless at remembering to charge things you needn’t worry as you can set up a reminder in the app on your smartphone. Clever stuff!

How easy is it to set up?
After charging the unit for 8 hours setting up the Paj GPS Power Finder 4G was pretty straightforward, even if getting the unit apart was not! The user-friendly mobile app known as the FINDER Portal guides you through a pairing process and you can customise settings such as notifications for when the battery is running low or if it is travelling above a certain speed or if it’s lifted up.

Key features
As well as the obvious real time tracking for my car park issues I really like the fact that it has route history which is saved for 365 days. This would be handy for lots of purposes, you could check where your vehicle was on a given day, if you are keeping an eye on your vehicles use if someone else is driving you will know where it’s been and if your luggage goes missing at an airport you can see if it went anywhere more exciting than you!
A really handy setting is the Geo Fence which allows you to set a specific zone and you will be alerted if the device enters or leaves it. Pop the device in your partners car, set the zone for your house and you can make sure you look busy when they get in!
How much does the Paj GPS Powerfinder 4G cost?
The unit itself has a RRP of £199.99 but you will also need to pay a subscription fee to the FINDER Portal:
Monthly £5.99
Annual £54.99 which works out at £4.58 a month
Biannual £89.99 which works out at £3.75 a month
