We are an animal loving family and Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunny ticks a lot of boxes
Not only are they super cute, and helping to raise awareness of rescue animals but by buying one you are also helping to raise money for the RSPCA! We actually have a rescue bunny of our own, Jack Rabbit, who lives with Granny as I am allergic to him.
Now, I have to be entirely honest, when I was asked to review the Limited Edition Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunny I wanted to do it for myself. As it turns out Big L enjoyed it too – as you can see from the video
Now, on to the Blossom Bunnies:
The mysterious, limited edition, Blossom Bunny arrives in a cardboard box:
You don’t know what colour your Blossom Bunny will be, yellow for Lemon Drizzle, pink for Posie or Peppermint who is an aqua colour. I have to admit we were a bit disappointed we got a pink one as green is our favourite colour and we were hoping for Peppermint!
What is in the Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunny Box?
Unveiling your Blossom Bunny is quite exciting, you rip the tab at the top of the box to reveal a scruffy little ball inside. As well as the scruffy Blossom Bunny ball is:
- a Certificate of Adoption
- brush
- crown
The idea being that you rescue an unloved animal and, through love and care, make them happy and beautiful.
In order to to reveal your Blossom Bunny’s inner beauty you need to wash it
You can use baby wash or shampoo to clean your Blossom Bunny, in fact it is recommended (we didn’t use enough to make it as fluffy as it could be). Give it a good rub and then rinse all the soap out.
After you have washed you Blossom Bunny you need to towel dry it then dry it with a hair dryer:
The instructions suggest it takes around 20 minutes to dry but we found it took longer. While we dried our Blossom Bunny we brushed it to make it fluffy. I was surprised that not much fluff came out – which is good. I often find the fluffy toys shed a lot, but this wasn’t the case with the Blossom Bunny.
As you can see Big L was quite taken with his Blossom Bunny, Posie. Posie has been on a few days out with us which you can see if you follow my Instagram @incident_parent
What age are Scruff a Luvs Blossom Bunny aimed at?
Blossom Bunnies are for age 3+ and aimed at 4 to 10 year olds. I think any child that likes cuddly toys would love them. Even Granny had a go (took over) at drying and making the bunny fluffy!
What did we think of our Blossom Bunny?
I think the concept is fab, it encourages children to look after animals. Both Big and Little L loved it. I think they are an excellent alternative to an Easter Egg and a reasonable price.
