We love Sonic in this house! Being gamers, the boys have been huge fans of Sonic the Hedgehog for years (one of them for over thirty years). The latest Sonic Prime toys from Bandai are based on the Sonic Prime Netflix series and only hit the shelves in the last couple of weeks!
The Sonic Prime series on Netflix is based on Sonic’s adventures after a run-in with Dr Eggman which literally shatters Sonic’s universe. Sonic has to try to put it back together by racing through the Shatterverse (see what they did there?) making his way through strange worlds and finding new friends along the way.
The Sonic Prime toys and collectibles sent for review
Little L was very excited to be reviewing a whole bundle of Sonic Plus toys which included Sonic Prime plush backpack, Sonic Prime keyring, Sonic Prime collectible figure blind bags, Sonic Prime Action figure 1 figure blind boxes, Sonic Prime Action Figures 4 pack and Sonic Prime clip-on plush. Phew! In fact I made the mistake of telling Little L that he would be reviewing them and was asked daily if they had arrived.

Sonic Prime Collectible Figures 1 Pack

Little L opened the blind bags to reveal Amy Rose & Knuckles. Knuckles and Shadow are his favorite Sonic Prime characters! These characters are not posable like the action figures but have great detail and work well in any imaginary Sonic Prime game.

There are a total of 16 Sonic Prime collectible figures including 4 rares:

We were sent 2 of the Sonic Prime Action Figure blind boxes, both boxes contained Sonic! That’s the swaps collection started!

Sonic Prime Action Figures 4 Pack
These are the same figures that you get in the blind boxes with the bonus of being able to see which characters you are going to get but that might not be as fun, I guess it depends if you prefer a surprise or whether you know which ones you need to complete your collection.

We now have 3 identical Sonic Prime Action Figures, but that is the luck of the draw when it comes to blind bags/boxes.
The action figures are slightly larger than the collectibles and are posable. They have great detail and make great toys to play with as well as desk ornaments (yes we are THOSE people). They also work with the Sonic Prime playsets like the Pirate Ship.

Sonic Prime Clip-on Plush
This does what it says on the tin. It is a plush and it clips on! You can clip it to your school rucksack or, in my case, my handbag. Look, I like Tails, OK?

Sonic Prime Plush Backpack
As you can see, straight after our unboxing we headed to the coast taking our Sonic Prime Backpack with us. He is a handy sized plush to take to cuddle in the car with the added bonus of also being a backpack with a small amount of storage (perhaps for your Sonic Prime collectibles or action figures, just saying).
