Feel the Force with Stretch Star Wars Toys

We were sent the toys for this review – all thoughts and images are our own

We are a huge Star Wars family, even our dog is called Darth Vader, so we were thrilled to be asked to review the new Stretch Star Wars toys

I grew up with the original (and arguably the best) Star Wars trilogy, Monsieur Incidental, being that little bit *cough* younger than me grew up with the next (but first) instalments and our children have been lucky enough to watch all the originals as well as the latest releases including the spin offs and series.

I don’t know about you but when Star Wars: The Force Awakens came out, all those years later, we booked tickets months in advance! All those familiar characters back on the big screen made me well up. We even went back to watch it again and took Big L, who was only 5 at the time, but we had to leave as the man sat in front of him kept farting and Big L couldn’t bear it. True story.

Aaanyway, on to the toys…

Large Darth Vader & Mini Boba Fett Stretch Star Wars Toys

Star Wars Stretch toys - mini Boba Fett & Large Darth Vader

Based on the original Star Wars characters the new Stretch Star Wars toys are versions of the classic favourite Stretch Armstrong toy also from Character Toys. There are several different Star Wars characters available in the large and mini sizes, the above photo shows the difference in size between them.

The Large Stretch Star Wars toys are also available in Chewbacca and Jabba The Hutt (which I find highly amusing). The other Mini Star Wars Stretch toys available are Darth Vader, Stormtooper and C-3PO.

Looking at the toys in their packaging you can see there is a lot of of each characters detail, from Boba Fett’s Mandalorian armour to Darth Vader’s protective armour – he even has his cape!

The Boba Fett Stretch is the smaller, mini, version with an RRP of £14.99 and this large version of Darth Vader is RRP £29.99

This photo shows the detail on Darth Vader, his mask is really great and he is complete with his stretchy cape. He is quite heavy too, he is completely stretchy apart from his helmet. He looks pretty menacing, he is clearly planning his next attack on the Jedi. His arms and legs are really thick, which they need to be as that enables them to really stretch!

As you can see from the above photo Darth Vader Stretch really is very stretchy. As he is big and dense it takes some Force (see what I did there) to get him to stretch a long way but Big & Little L here are giving it a good go! He stretches a long way until released when he slowly goes back to his original shape, not only can you stretch him but you can also tie him in knots!

The mini Boba Fett stretch toy is also incredibly stretchy all over, apart from his mask. A bounty hunter by trade he wears his customised Mandalorian armour including gauntlets.

Big and Little L stretched Boba Fett A LOT! In fact I thought one of them was going to fall over backwards! Obviously as he doesn’t have the size of the larger Darth Vader toy he didn’t have the same amount of stretch but, due to his size, the bounty hunter was easier to pull!

How much is the Star Wars Stretch Mini Boba Fett toy and where can I buy one?

The Boba Fett, in fact all the mini Star Wars stretch figure characters, have a RRP of £14.99 and can be found in all the usual retailers, including Amazon

I think the new stretch Star Wars toys are going to be very popular especially as there are two sizes which will appeal to different budgets.
