We were sent the Epic Dino Egg for purposes of this review but all opinions are my own
Our kids have been fans of Zuru Smashers for some time so when we were asked to reveal and review the Smashers Epic Dino Egg we jumped at the chance
The Epic Dino Egg arrived a week prior to it’s unveiling. Keeping an 8 year old away from it for that time was excruciating! When the time finally came to open it we filmed it. You can check out our video below – bear in mind we are in no way professional YouTubers!
For those who prefer photo’s to video:
First you unwrap your Smashers Epic Dino Egg

The egg is huge with a bone sticking out.
There is a serrated pull down but to undo the printed plastic wrapper. You will likely find it takes you round and round, that’s fine, stick with it!
Under the printed wrapper there is another clear plastic wrap, also with a serrated pull. This will reveal your huge Epic Dino Egg!
The egg itself is large and has SMASHERS written on it and a picture of a dinosaur
How to smash your Smashers Epic Dino Egg
This took us some doing, I have to be honest. If you watch our video you’ll see that we tried dropping it onto the dining table. The was not enough! It had to be dropped with some force from a height, more than once!
This delighted Big L no end!

What’s inside a Zuru Smashers Epic Dino Egg?
On opening your egg you will find a “yolk” containing all the toys your Smashers Scratch Map and instructions on how to build your Smash-o-saur. There are 25 toys in total. Some of the toys are hiding dinosaur bones that you use to build the Smash-o-saur Dino. There are one of three exclusive Smash-o-saur Dinos to build in each Smashers Epic Dino Egg.

Using the Smashers Scratch Map you scratch of the clues to reveal the Smash-o-saur Dino bones. They are hidden within the larger toys Sand, Fizz, Ooze, Dirt and Ice.
Something else that will excite the kids is the fact that you can find Rare and Ultra Rare characters.
You can keep track of your collection using the handy guide contained in the pack or by downloading the Smashers App (we love an App here).

What did we think of the Zuru Smashers Epic Dino Egg
I have to say it kept Big L quiet for some time, Little L wanted to get involved too but he is only 3 and it is recommended for age 5 and above. It would make a great rainy afternoon activity and anyone buying one of these as a birthday present would get cool points for sure!
