Winter is coming!
The nights are drawing in, the leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees and we are already thinking ahead to snow!
Things will be different this year. We might not be about to pop over to France for our ski trips this year but that doesn’t mean we don’t need to wrap up warm! Holidays can still be had, right here in the United Kingdom and weekends can be cold, wet and windy!
The school run is very different now, there is a lot of hanging around outdoors
This was fine in the warmer months, in fact it was quite enjoyable to feel the sun on your face after all the restrictions, but now there is a chill in the air and it is raining more and more frequently. At our school there are staggered start and finish times which mean at the end of the day I have almost 40 minutes to wait between collections. That is a long time to wait outside, especially with a four year old, and made worse if it is cold and raining.
The best way to stay warm and dry outdoors is to wear ski clothing
Protest have some great ski jackets for women and men’s ski jackets too. They are waterproof, warm and they look cool so your kids won’t be embarrassed to be seen with you!
We were shielding during lockdown. We spent weeks and weeks at home and it taught us that going outdoors is really important for our mental health. We now make much more of our family time together and spend a lot more of it outdoors, exploring our local nature parks. We will continue to do this all year round and don’t want to be restricted by the cold so will be investing in women’s ski trousers and layering up with men’s ski fleeces to keep us toasty and warm.
When the snow falls we will be ready for it and we will be warm and day!
Protest isn’t just about ski and snowboard clothing though. There is also some awesome street wear!
