Here is our honest review of SuperThings Evolution toys…It’s safe to say Little L is a huge fan of SuperThings and has been since 2019 when they were called SuperZings. He is almost 8 and we still have the original toys so they have stood the test of time both physically and in play power
When I say we buy a lot ourselves it’s true! The blind bags seem to end up in our trolley whenever we visit Sainsbury’s, which is several times a week. Little L is thrilled when I pick him up from school and have a blind bag waiting for him, eagerly opening them to see if he has a rare or ultra rare.
We have also reviewed them a couple of times. You can read our previous review of SuperZings series three and the SuperThings Kazoom Kids Pizza Copter and Turbo Ice by clicking the links. They also explain a bit more about what SuperThings are.
SuperThings Evolution Range of toys and collectibles
SuperThings release a new range every now and then. Previously there have been a few including Rescue Force and Neon Power. The latest release, SuperThings Evolution, includes some characters that glow in the dark. I don’t think there is a kid in the land that doesn’t like a toy that glows in the dark. Obviously there is the challenge of finding a rare or even an ultra rare in the SuperThings blindbag, Little L has been lucky enough to find several rare characters of the years, but never an ultra rare.
What toys available in the SuperThings Evolution range
First of all there are obviously the blind bags which each contain a different character, there are over 90 to collect so expect a few duplicates (there are swap groups on Facebook, but I haven’t braved them yet)! There are also 6 Kazoom Kids to collect which are larger articulated figures and come with their own SuperThing sidekick. Of course the heroes and villains need to travel around so there are 12 different SuperJets to collect, each comes with its own glow in the dark SuperThing character.
SuperThings Evolution Rivals – Blindbags
With over 90 SuperThings Evolution characters to collect you will need a handy checklist to keep tabs of your growing collection! As you can see from the checklist below, there are some the glow in the dark (not all do), some rares which are metallic and one super duper ULTRA RARE SuperThings Evolution character, Galacticool. We have never got an ultra rare, Little L lives in hope! They sell for mega bucks on the likes of EBay!
The blind bags are usually around 90p but you can also buy packs of 10 which are guaranteed to contain a Gold Leader!
SuperThings Evolution SuperJets
There are 12 SuperJets to collect, each comes with a glow in the dark SuperThing. The SuperJets are pretty cool as you can press a button and the wings pop out etc. Of course there is also an Ultra Rare Golden SuperJet. Needless to say, we don’t have that either!
They are Kazoom Kid compatible, you place their feet on the SuperJet and they can fly around saving the day, or causing mayhem depending in whether they are a hero or villain of course.
SuperThings SuperJet are £3.99 each

SuperThings Evolution Kazoom Kids
The SuperThings Kazoom Kids are larger and articulated and have a glow in the dark exoskeleton. They each come with their own SuperThing sidekick. There are 6 to collect and Little L completed his set last weekend with Nebulaxia, which was on his birthday list. I wasn’t lying when I said we buy a lot of these!

Where can I buy SuperThings toys and collectibles?
We have found the blindbags at our local Sainsbury’s and One Stop as well as the Entertainer. Usually the best value are found on the SuperThings store on Amazon (which is where I bought the latest Kazoom Kid)
In summary we are big fans of all things SuperThing in this house. Our collection grows weekly! The toys are well priced, well made and generate a lot of imaginary play. They get a big thumbs up from us!
